A prequel to the Newport-to-Ensenada race is the cooperative race organized by South Shore Yacht and Dana Point Yacht Club. It’s a 14-nautical mile race between Newport Beach and Dana Point and typically occurs two-to-three weeks prior to the Newport-to-Ensenada race in the last full weekend in April.
